Westfield Rd

Gleniffer in conjunction with William Morrisons Supermarkets secured Planning Permission in Principle from North Lanarkshire Council in late Spring 2014.

The proposed development comprises a new 60,000 square feet Morrisons superstore and petrol station. In addition permission has been approved for a new pub / restaurant and a new drive thru restaurant. A layout of the development can be seen here » .

Newton Mearns
Greenlaw Village Final Phase

Gleniffer's final phase of its successful Greenlaw, Newton Mearns development was completed in Spring 2014. This comprises 20,000 square feet of new class 1 retail space. 14,000 square feet has been let to Home Bargains, who opened for trade in Summer 2014 and the remaining 6,000 square feet has been let to Pets at Home who will commence trading in June 2015.

The development sits adjacent to Gleniffer’s highly successful previous phases anchored by Tesco Express and Waitrose’s first new build store in Scotland.

Newton Mearns
Greenlaw Village Phase 3

A new free-standing restaurant and bar grill called Zyka has been built complementing the existing facilities at Greenlaw Village. This 4000 sq ft state of the art Indian restaurant and bar has been trading since 2011. Operated by Indi and Billi Lalli this is a fantastic new dining experience for Newton Mearns.

Greenlaw Village Phase 2

Gleniffer built Waitrose's first new build store in Scotland which opened for business in spring 2011. At 36,200 square feet this is one of Waitrose's largest stores in Scotland. The store perfectly compliments the phase 1 retail development completed earlier in 2010.

Greenlaw Village Phase 1

Located in the heart of Newton Mearns, Greenlaw Village is a significant retail development for Glasgow’s south-side. It is situated on Crookfur Road immediately adjacent to junction 4 of the M77. Phase one comprises an 18,500 sq ft retail parade that was completed in 2010 and is anchored by Tesco Express. Other tenants include Rowland’s Pharmacy, Beauticians, Betfred Bookmakers, Barnardo’s, Atlantis Hot Foods, Crazy Wok Chinese, Newton Mearns Dry Cleaners, Hamill Dentist and Vets for Pets.

The parade has been cleverly designed to feature a public square complete with an alfresco dining area. But centre stage is a spectacular galvanised steel horse’s head designed by sculptor, Andy Scott. The 4.5 metre figure which weighs about half a tonne, is the latest equine sculpture by the internationally-renowned artist who has created the Heavy Horse on the M8, Arabesque in Queensland, and Chiron and The White Horse in Sydney.

Kinning Park

Located at 455 Paisley Road in Glasgow's Southside, this 1950's brick built building was refurbished in 2010 to form contemporary office space and retail units with dedicated car parking.

The space was all pre-let to Tesco Express, Ross Harper Solicitors and Greggs Bakers. The development was sold to a private investor in 2010.


This is a former agricultural showroom located in Horsemarket, Kelso that was refurbished and extended in 2009 to create retail units and upper floor residential apartments.

The retail units were pre-let to William Hill Organisation and Lloyds Pharmacy. The development was sold privately in 2009.

Backmarch Road.

Completed in 2009 Gleniffer Estates has created a 5,000 sq ft retail parade in Rosyth which is fully let.

Located on Backmarch Road, off Admiralty Road, the development was pre-let to the Co-operative Funeral Care, Coral Racing, Gregg's bakers and Marinis Fast Food.

Glendoune Street

Developed in 2008 this former Shell petrol station was rebuilt to create new retail units that were pre let to Tesco Express and Subway.


Completed in 2008, this former Esso petrol station, located on Kirkintilloch Road, was redeveloped for brand new retail use and was let to Tesco Express and Domino Pizza. The investment was sold to a private investor in 2008.

Colinton Road.

One of the first developments to be created by Gleniffer Developments, the company transformed a former Esso petrol station on Colinton Road into a new build retail development. The property was pre-let to Tesco Express and Co-op Funeral Care and was sold to a private investor in 2007.
